![]() ![]() ![]() The problem is that the difficulty even in roockie was just too hard and the game too long, so if you loose you also loose a lot of time, I had to restart the game several times. I started playing in veteran difficulty and Ironman, then the same difficulty but without Ironman and then I just started to play in roockie difficulty and Ironman. I want to be challenged, that is ok, but there is a reason why we can pick the diffuculty before playing, to select the challenge we want to deal with, according to our skills and/or preferences. I have things to do, other games I want to play and I don't want to become a pro player. I don't have the time to restart the game 100 times to be a pro player in xcom. To do that they probably have had to spend a lot of time to get those results. But not all the players are like those people. Yeah but that is not the point, probably you are right, there must be people who can managed to complete that mission in legend, of course is not imposible. It's killed my playthrough dead in it's tracks, not going to bother replying the mission, it's a lost cause. You need to seriously rethink how many units come at you on an Avenger mission. I must of killed over half that list and the Chosen Assassin before I was overwhelmed. On top of that I had the Chosen Assassin to contend with who was jacked up with Close Combat Specialist, Damage Control, could move like a Ruler Alien after taking damage, Poison Sword!!! Now that the Reapers have been nerfed to the point that they can only use their Concealment ability for 2 turns before it runs out and goes on a timer to cool down, you have to take on those Hordes. There was probably dozens more guarding the Cannon. I lost count at what they threw at me.Īnd those were the ones that I saw at the start, up to the 2 groups of Tanks. They threw all the Late Game Aliens and ADVENT at me after about 12 months into my campaign. That is until the Chosen attacked the Avenger? That's it! Game Over! The difficulty got gradually harder at a decent pace, save scummed a couple of times in my 60 Hour Playthough so it's a good gradual difficulty on the Easiest mode. I had defence matrix upgraded to 4 Turrets. :) This kind stuff is something that really does not make any sense.Įverything was going good, I got as far as having Power Armour and my soldiers armed with Coil Guns. My squad was literally surrounded right in the start. But.when I started the mission, in the corner of map, there was three enemy groups around my squad! One on the left side, one on the right side and one in the middle. I just had one mission,"reduce advent strenght". There is also so many little thing that needs to be somehow fixed or balanced. Some mission types just are such that I don't actually want to do them. I just think that LW-formula does not fit very well with XCOM 2 and War of the Chosen. Why there isn't more missions with those maps?Īnyway, I love LWOTC and I can't play XCOM 2 without it. And usually I get those maps for only once per game. But there is more maps, like Old railyard, Harbor, Graveyard etc. Almost all mission are at City center, Slums, Subway, Dead city or Wilderness. They aren't so hard but after you have done them a few times they get very boring and repetitive. There is also couple other missions which kills my enjoyment. I simply don't do those missions anymore.Especially since the task does not reward in any way.Intel loss for month is not so big deal that I would sacrifice my soldiers. ![]()
